LP-Series: Six 1 Seven Studios

Engineers Aaron Mattes and Tiernan Cranny needed to get up-and-running with Atmos mixing in a hurry in order to land a contract they had been courting for some time.

Their LP-6 system was setup and calibrated within a week, and they were able to deliver their first Atmos mix on time and to the satisfaction of the client.

Since building their system, they have made a name for themselves as a go-to studio for Atmos mixing for Hip-Hop, working with artists including NLE Choppa, Polo G, and A$AP Rocky.

Total Retail Cost: $3787

Hybrid System: Studio Delux Immersive

Matt Wallace and Will Kennedy have been remixing back catalog into Atmos for artists like Faith No More, Jason Mraz, and The B-52s.

Their Atmos system needed to slot seamlessly into Studio Delux’s well-developed work flow and beloved gear that had already seen decades of successful use.

Wallace and Kennedy were particularly impressed with how well their Kali system translated, and took Kali’s team to Studio 3 at Capitol Records to compare the Kali Atmos system at Studio Delux to the PMC Atmos system at Capitol. The results were impressive, and Matt and Will’s clients are well pleased with the mixes they’re delivering.

IN-Series: The Village Studios

The Village Studios needs no introduction. From Fleetwood Mac’s “Rumours” to Dr. Dre’s “The Chronic,” the studio has been ground zero for some of the most iconic recordings of all time.

Owner Jeff Greenberg is extremely happy with the system, saying: “They were extremely helpful and provided some great solutions for us for the room. It’s turned out to be one of the best sounding Atmos rooms in town, from some of the people we’ve had listen in the room. Tina and I did some playbacks for some extraordinary engineers and some people from Apple and they were all blown away with how good it sounds.”

System:

Total Retail Cost: $6686
